Meet Jacob Zamora: Faith-Driven Veteran, Expert Firearms Instructor, and Community Leader
Jacob Zamora is a man whose life is guided by his deep faith and a relentless drive to serve and protect others. A proud veteran, Jacob spent four years in the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery Paratrooper, where he trained under a seasoned Green Beret. His courage and commitment were put to the test during a combat tour to Afghanistan in 2017, a testament to his bravery and dedication to safeguarding those around him.
After transitioning to civilian life in 2019, Jacob channeled his passion for firearms and his military expertise into becoming a certified Firearms Instructor through the NRA. With five years of executive protection experience under his belt—and the real-world responsibility of having drawn his firearm twice in civilian settings—Jacob brings unparalleled insight and real-world application to his instruction.
Today, Jacob is a full-time Firearms Instructor at Dropzone Tactical, where he also partners with other businesses to share his knowledge. In addition to his teaching, he’s pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, underscoring his commitment to personal growth and professional excellence.
Jacob holds an impressive array of certifications that speak to his versatility and expertise:

Firearms Certifications: NRA Basic Pistol, Basic Rifle, CCW, and Texas License to Carry Instructor.

Tactical and Defensive Training: First Responders Carry Instructor (TX), Private Security Level 3 Instructor, and US Law Shield CCQ Instructor.

Life-Saving Skills: Combat Life Saver, CPR/First Aid/AED Certified.

OUR PRIVATE RANGE
Our outdoor range is exclusively for you upon taking a class. So no more loud indoor gun ranges with hundreds of unsafe shooters next to you. We train outdoors because the weather and bad guys don't care what time of day or season it is so you need to train the same way.
Our Range is NOT open to the public and only available for classes and prior students.
